DDB Elevates Jamie McGarry to Lead Business Development in the U.S.

DDB, part of Omnicom Group (NYSE:OMC), announced today that Jamie McGarry has been promoted to EVP, Director of Business Development in the U.S. Reporting to Paul Gunning, President and Chief Operating Officer of DDB U.S., Jamie will oversee business development for DDB’s three U.S. offices (DDB Chicago, DDB New York and DDB San Francisco), and assist We Are Unlimited, Tribal Worldwide-New York and Rodgers Townsend in their pursuits.

“Jamie has great passion for our industry, this agency and winning. She possesses a positive energy and can-do attitude that helps drive everyone forward and creates a momentum for us to do our best work. She has a knack for understanding what clients need, and in turn develops business solutions that deliver business growth, which is evident by her proven track record,” said Paul Gunning.

In her elevated role, Jamie will integrate DDB’s new business efforts and resources as well as drive growth across the U.S. offices. As DDB implements a more connected operating structure in the U.S., she will be responsible for shaping and leading a coordinated business development practice that will withstand and create agency models for clients’ ever-changing needs.

Over the course of her tenure at DDB, Jamie’s business acumen has reshaped the network’s pitch strategy and approach, dramatically transforming DDB’s new business track record. Under her leadership, DDB has had a notable increase in new business activity and conversion, including both new client wins and organic growth. The results of her efforts have been substantial wins, including the U.S. Army, McDonald’s, Miller Lite, Blue Moon, Fiat Chrysler (including Jeep, RAM and Alfa Romeo), Symantec, along with many others. Earlier this year Jamie was named a Working Mother of the Year Honoree by She Runs It.

Jamie’s appointment to oversee the agency network’s business development in the U.S. is the latest update as DDB moves towards a more connected operating structure in the U.S. Late last year, both Azher Ahmed and Val Bengoa were elevated to leadership positions for DDB U.S.
