Philosophie With “Name Your Future. Save for it.” we created a documentary to inspire people to begin to think about what their passion is and what they might like to do with their retirement. We feature James, a former school teacher and now a 74 year old retiree, who is passionate about building and flying airplanes. Through diligently saving over the years, he is now able to be able to spend his retirement focused on his passion. 
Problem Even with all the headlines and news reporting, only 30% of Canadians are saving enough money for retirement. 
For the group of 70% who aren't saving, the seduction of “living for today” is so powerful that they won’t sacrifice today to invest in tomorrow. Their spending habits on the small things they can’t give up - morning latte, dining out, uber - are influencing the quality of their retirement years which will become critical in the future. Our creative challenge was to create an emotional platform that jars Canadians out of their 'live for today' mindset.
