Red Apple 2017 announced the total jury board

Organizers of Red Apple International Advertising Festival revealed who would judge festival works that year and told what they were famous for.

There are 12 well-known experts from 10 countries – UK, Singapore, Japan, Belgium, USA, Netherlands, India, Denmark, UAE, Russia – who will choose the winners of Red Apple 2017. Numerous essential international awards bind them all together.

The Chairman of Red Apple jury will be James Temple, executive creative director of R/GA EMEA agency that is regarded as the most creative one in the world. Under James’s leadership, the agency with 350 staff members won the most important awards of advertising industry – gold at Cannes Lions and Clio, the Grand Prix at Eurobest. R/GA was also called “The creative agency of the year” according to the Creative Review Magazine, “The best advertising agency chain” and “The best innovative agency of the year” according to Campaign. It was furthermore granted the status of “The second International agency of the year” and “The second Global creative innovator of the year” by Ad Age.

Aste Gutièrrez — a creative director of BBH from Singapore, responsible for Nike. He is the author of legendary campaign called “Nike Unlimited Stadium” collecting multiple festival awards of this year. Esquire included Aste in the list of “14 people and organizations who change our environment, circumstance and minds to the best”.

Johan Køhler — a creative director of &Co from Denmark. Last year he became the partner of Northen Alliance (NoA) – the union of Scandinavian agencies that consider their mission as elimination of gaps between communication, design and technologies. Among his recent projects there is “All, that we share” for Danish TV2. This work gained multiple awards, including Cannes Lions, Clip, D&AD, Andy, Epica.

Juliana Paracencio — a regional creative director of Memac Ogilvy and Mather in Middle East and North Africa. From Dubai hub she leads 15 offices of chain. Her recent work “IKEA. It’s that affordable” won 5 awards at Cannes Lions, 5 pencils at D&AD and became the fifth in the list of the most awarding campaign at Print/OOH in the world according to Gunn Report 2016. 

Kentaro Kimura — an executive creative director at Hakuhodo Kettle and CCO Hakuhodu APAC. His style of works implies blurring of boundaries between strategy, creative, digital and PR. He is the owner of more than 100 awards (including 8 Grand Prix) of such festivals as Cannes Lions, D&AD, One Show, Clio, LIA, ADC, Adfest, Adstars и Spikes Asia. His world-renowned works are “Hibiki Glass” for Suntory and “Loving Eyes” for Toyota.

Lauren Connolly — an executive vice-president and executive creative director of BBDO New York. Business Insider called her one of the most creative women in the advert industry twice. Among Lauren’s significant projects there are campaigns Lowe, Come Alive for Mountain Dew, PuppyMonkeyBaby for Super Bowl as well as the initiative “Add her to the map”.

Koenraad Lefever — a creative director of legendary Duval Guillaume from Belgium. He works with such brands as Carlsberg, Durex, Coca-Cola, Nike, Ray-Ban, Opel и Ford. He was awarded at CCB, Eurobest, Cannes Lions, NYF, Effie, Oneshow and D&AD. One of his recent works gaining Gold Cannes Lion is video “Merry Christmas from Syria”.

Santosh Padhi — CCO and co-founder of Taproot Dentsu agency that during the last few turned into one of the most famous Indian agencies and gained more than 200 essential international awards. Santosh is among «Top 40 Asians to look for» according to Campaign 2013. In 2015 he was nominated for The most creative person of the year.

Craig Williams - a creative director of Wieden+Kennedy (Netherlands). The main aim, which leads Craig in his job, is the penetration to the culture and conscience of people. Over and over again he gains this aim and we can consider this way due to his works for such brands as Nike, Instagram, Heineken, Audi, General Electric, Booking.com, Tesco Mobile, Е.А. Sports, Coca-Cola, BASF, P & G и I.B.M.

There are traditionally two Russian members of Red Apple 2017 jury board - one from agency chain and one from the independent one. The first one is a CCO of Possible Moscow Vlad Sitnilov, whose agency won Silver Cannes Lion for the campaign «Coffee is not a drug”.

The second one is a co-founder and a CCO of TutkovBudkov Dmitry Tutkov, who got famous for the video of S7 “Ok, Go”. He collected multiple festival statues including 4 Cannes Lions.

Besides, this year a member of media agency joined Red Apple jury for the first time. Rohan Tambyrajah, a global innovation director in PHD’s Global Strategy Unit, is one the most awarded strategist of the world. Campaign Magazine listed him as one of the “Faces to Watch”. His numerous collection of international awards includes Cannes Lions.

Judges will have already started to estimate festival works, which pretend to become the winners of Red Apple 2017 International Advertising Festival, on November 6. The awarding ceremony will take place in a traditional space - Digital October - on December 7-8.
