A tourism brand finds a way to engage while the world’s at a virtual standstill

The island of Sentosa in Singapore is a kind of tourism paradise, packed with spas, museums, theme parks, casinos and of course beaches. Only problem – it’s off limits until at least June. But Sentosa found a way of reminding people about all the great attractions it offers, by becoming the latest brand to take advantage of the game Animal Crossing: New Horizons. Players can dance at a Sentosa Beats party, bask in Sunset Therapy or enjoy a cocktail. The only catch: you have to register for a chance to win entrance tickets. If you’re successful, rendezvous at the virtual airport, submit your code – and you’re off! Want to get married, do yoga on the beach, try out a bobsled or simply raise a glass? It’s all yours – virtually speaking.
