When your home office is ear-splitting

Home isn’t always the haven of peace you’d like it to be. Whether it’s the guy upstairs with the loud stereo, the neighbour’s kids (or your own) letting off some steam, the washing machine or the vacuum cleaner, ambient noise can be annoying – especially if you’re working from home. Audio equipment specialist Bose has come to the rescue with a special promotion for its noise cancelling headphones. Simply measure the level of decibels in your home using its Noise-o-meter app, then use the result to apply for the headphones at a discount. The louder your home, the bigger the discount. Perhaps they’ll extend the offer to the outside world when it gets back to its noisy self.
