Cheil Worldwide wins 16 statues at London International Awards

Today, London International Awards announced its 2019 winners. Cheil Worldwide was honored with a total of 16 statues, including 2019 Regional Agency of the Year for Asia won by Cheil Worldwide Hong Kong.

 

Cheil Centrade Romania brought home a Gold and a Silver for its film "Unquiet Voices" for charity ANAIS Association. In order to reveal the unnoticed portrayal of violence against women, a 40-minute film was created from scenes from seven different silent films rearranged to fit the real stories of victims, whose voices were recorded over the footage.

 

Cheil Worldwide Hong Kong was honored with 2019 Regional Agency of the Year Award for Asia by sweeping 10 Statues in total.

 

Barbara Levy, President of LIA, said: “Cheil Hong Kong is a creative force to be reckoned with. Apart from winning multiple Bronze Statues, they are also the Regional Creative Agency of the Year for Asia. A well-deserved honor.”

 

Cheil Worldwide Hong Kong and Cheil PengTai won four Statues including one Silver for Samsung "BACK2LIFE". In order to get more people to learn CPR, the campaign hacked biggest game of the year and built hands-on CPR training right into the game itself so when gamers lost a life, they had to perform CPR on their characters to bring them back to life.

 

Cheil Worldwide Hong Kong also won four Bronze for print campaign for Chupa Chups titled "Homework", "Music", "Tidy-up", and together with Cheil Worldwide Beijing won two Bronze for print campaign for Penguin Books titled "Monkey", "Gatsby", "Dracula", "Alice".

 

Cheil Worldwide Brazil won two Silver for "The Waste Measure" campaign for juice brand Greenpeople. The campaign launched a special edition of water bottles measured not in liters but by everyday waste to make people aware of the water waste.

 

Cheil Worldwide Korea won a Silver for Samsung “Bixby Voice Forever”. Personalized voice assistant was created for a mother of two and Motor Neurone Disease patient so she can leave her voice alive in her children’s smartphones and throughout all of their Samsung home appliances even after she loses her ability to speak.

 

McKinney, part of Cheil Worldwide, won one Bronze for Next Gen Personal Finance for game creation that took on predatory lending practices titled "Shady Sam".
