Chris Chard

Producer & Founder

Chris Chard has carved a name for himself as one of the most diligent, good humoured and ever friendly post producers in town with over 10 years experience working with agencies such as Mother, CST, TBWA, DLKW Lowe, Ogilvy, BBH and Fallon on major brands from UEFA, Stella Artois, O2 and H&M to Cadburys, Sony, Givenchy and BT. His passion for music has also seen him work on music promos with Madonna, Beyonce, Gorillaz, Robbie Williams, Faithless and the legendary Gil Scott Heron

Creative Director

Simon Clarke is an award-winning Creative Director with a wealth of experience in delivering eye-catching, high-end visual effects for flagship programmes and series to Broadcasters such as the BBC, National Geographic, Discovery and Channel 4. Simon’s broadcast work includes How Earth Made Us, Wonders of the Solar System and World War II from Space, for which he won an Emmy for ‘Outstanding Graphic Design and Art Direction’ and the RTS award for ‘Graphic Design – Programme Content Sequence’. His recent museum and installation projects include a 3d Stereoscopic projection for the Dr. Who experience, a 180-degree Solar System tour for the Perot Museum of Science and Natural History in Dallas and an Aurora show spectacular at the Fram Museum in Norway.

About Jo Gutteridge: Having graduated with an honours degree in Illustration from the University of Falmouth, Jo had always been looking for the right opportunity to move into a creative role and so joined us last year as Production Assistant. She has a passion for design and animation and so was thrilled to become part of the Coffee and TV family. And we couldn’t do without her as not only does she support the production side of what we do but she also keeps the studio running day to day and looks after our clients impeccably. Jo can also run out a beautiful set of storyboards if we need them!

PHIL HURRELL

PHIL HURRELL

Phil Hurrell has accumulated 27 years of experience and knowledge in animation and CGI visual effects. He has a fantastic pedigree in channel branding and idents having worked with the likes of Dunning Penny Jones, Lambie Nairn, Red Bee, BBC, ITV, Channel 4, five and NBC Middle East. His years of commercials experience has seen him work on high profile brands such as McDonalds, Panasonic, British Airways, Virgin Group and Rimmel London and with major agencies from the likes of JWT, VCCP and G2 to DDB London, DDB Chicago and Radient.

Derek Moore was a co-owner at Clear and has been a leading Flame Artist at many of the biggest post companies in London. Over the years he has been lead VFX artist on channel idents for BBC1, BBC2, big commercials for Coca Cola, Citroen, Renault, BMW, British Airways and music videos for George Michael, Pet Shop Boys, Scissor Sisters, Girls Aloud and Faithless, Derek also has years of experience working on channel promos for many major broadcasters including the BBC, Sky, ITV, Channel 4, as well as many overseas and was VFX Supervisor on several feature films including Franklyn and Tales of the Riverbank.

Leonie Moreton was Managing Director and Producer of The Paper Birds Theatre Company and a freelance creative producer for many more, but having grown up in a family of advertising industry alumni, it was inevitable that she would eventually move across to the world of film. She kicked off her career in production at Gorgeous, then moved to HSI to become Head of Marketing and in-house sales, working with a broad range of agencies for major brands such as Aviva, B&Q and Versace. The combination of new business development experience, and a background in production, marketing and sales enables Leonie to take a creative and strategic approach to developing the Coffee and TV brand and business.

SARAH WALSH

SARAH WALSH

Head of Production

Sarah Walsh is a Brummie girl who started her career at advertising agency Krow Communications and transitioned in to the world of post-production at Smoke & Mirrors, climbing quickly through the ranks before moving to MPC. She now joins the the Coffee & TV family to head up Production with Chris. Working with an array of clients over the years such as adamandeveDDB, Mother, JWT, Beattie MCGuiness Bungay, Somesuch, Academy & Blink she has worked on major brands such as Sony, Samsung, DHL and most recently post-produced the highly praised John Lewis Christmas Campaign ‘The Lonely Penguin’.

Designer & Art Director

Steve Waugh is a highly talented Motion Graphics Artist, Designer and Art Director with a passion for title sequences, design work and brand identity creation and a total appreciation and enjoyment of the collaborative creative process. Having originally trained in illustration, he has over 10 years experience both as a freelancer and in permanent stints at design and vfx studios such as Rushes, Fluid and the hive. He has worked predominantly in the commercials and broadcast markets and has been BAFTA nominated as Art Director and VFX Supervisor on BBC’s ‘Wonders of the Solar System.’ His other credits include BBC’s Supersized Earth, Skittles for DDB China and Ancestory.co.uk for VCCP.

Flame Artist & Founder

Truss has been on the frontline operating Smoke and Flame for over 10 years with fluency, speed and the sharpest eye for detail, having previously cut his teeth on Quantel’s Henry and Editbox. Over the years he has worked with Madonna, U2, Supergrass and Coldplay, has worked with major Agencies such as Publicis, Leo Burnett, M&C Saatchi, Saatchi & Saatchi and JWT on brands from Max Factor, Herbal Essences and Stella Artois to Land Rover, Canon, Sky Atlantic and The Independent.
