Slogan Making More and More Millionaires
Story David&Goliath partnered with Scientific Games (MDI) for a national Lottery project on October 20 to launch the new MONOPOLY MILLIONAIRES’ CLUB game. This new game changes the structure of the typical Lottery jackpot, by awarding multiple millionaires per draw after the initial jackpot is won.
The marketing effort behind the game launches this week with a :30 spot called “Hot Air Balloon.” The work will be airing initially in 23 states and is expected to expand to 32 states by 2015.
The campaign includes radio, digital banners, OOH and a :60/:30 TV spot called “Hot Air Balloon,” in which the iconic Monopoly top hat is used to symbolize membership in the MONOPOLY MILLIONAIRES’ CLUB — a Club where one becomes two, two becomes five, and five becomes fifty. With this new game, more and more people are becoming millionaires, thus the campaign tagline “Making More and More Millionaires.”
The TV spot features Jimmy Durante’s famous track “Make Someone Happy."
David&Goliath began working with Scientific Games as a result of its work as AOR for the CA Lottery since 2010. This is the first time that all Lottery jurisdictions have opted to run one, national campaign as opposed to their own local marketing efforts for a specific game.
