After the degree in economics at Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore in Milan and in 1986 an MBA in New York, became financial analyst at the Zurich Group; later employed by Waste Management as financial controller and finance director. In 1992, turned to advertising as financial director of Ogilvy&Mather where he contributed to reorganizing and re-launching it; he was entrusted with many tasks for other European offices of the group; in the year 1998 was nominated Managing Director and the year after CEO and head of the Country. From June 2005 is Chairman and CEO of the Leo Burnett Group Italy. In 2006 Leo Burnett has named “Agency of the Year” and won its first Gold Lion at Cannes Festival. In the same year he was appointed Global Head of FCA.

In 2008, Giorgio was named Chairman and CEO of Leo Burnett Continental Western Europe region and in this role he contributed to the development of a new model of business organization for France, Germany, Spain and Portugal, Belgium, Switzerland and Italy.
In the last five years the agency has grown by 70%.

During 2011 he was appointed Global Leader Philip Morris International, the most important client at Leo Burnett Worldwide.

In 2016 has been appointed President of Publicis Communication Italy and FCA Global Client Leader.

Brenna is keen about sports like motor racing, motorcycling and track racing. He loves reading and travelling.

On 1999 the agency had about 110 employees with a gross income of 12,5 Million, a PBT of 15%, 80% international clients and two active companies O&M and Ogilvy One. Today the Ogilvy Group in Italy consists of some 300 people in eight companies with gross income of 30 € Million and a proft margin of 24% (after deduction of 5% management fee), international accounts represents 45% of client portfolio.
In 2003 O&M became agency of the year in Italy but also top brand agency in Italy (elected by the general public and not a professional jury).
