Story We started The Wayback as a tool we all wish we’d had when our own loved ones were living with the dementia.

From a Kickstarter beginning, it’s grown into a multi-award winning, globally renowned tech for good project, culminating in winning the British Challenge Dementia Prize, in association with The Alzheimer’s Society.

Put simply, The Wayback recreates moments from the past in 360 degree virtual reality, in order to immerse the viewer in the sights and sounds of their past, and spark their own memories. The precious conversations it triggers and the connections it provides with carers and loved ones are invaluable.
