Story | Dreaming of a green Christmas with IKEA turning its catalogues into 100% paper End of Year decorations. More than ever, IKEA places sustainability at the centre of its values and actions. Lately, two big news have been announced. First of all, IKEA was elected "Salesforce Sustainable Retailer of the Year 2020-2021”. A title that highlights all the brand’s eco-responsible progress: greener collections, saving resources, recycling raw materials, etc.… Second big news: the end of IKEA catalogues. Indeed, the 70th edition of the most distributed book in the world will be the last. A page is turning. On this occasion, IKEA asked its “Family Members” to bring back their old catalogues for recycling. And surprise! 1000 of them received a 100% recycled gift. They had the chance to discover SNÖ: a 100% paper decoration kit containing 8 Christmas baubles, 152 decorative stars, and 2 small table trees… to assemble themselves by following the instructions for use. SNÖ is proof that with a little imagination, the holidays can be magical and greener at the same time. |
