Story The new Volvo XC40 is a car you subscribe to, rather than own. To reflect this sustainable solution, the elegant film shows a young woman navigating a world cluttered with things: mail order packages, technology, consumer goods, a suffocation of stuff. The music? "My Favourite Things", of course. Finally, with the help of her non-owned vehicle, she breaks free.

To capture the advantages of the new Volvo XC40, a car one subscribes to rather than owns, a young woman escapes a world suffocated by over-consumption. To the tune of "My Favourite Things", we see how not owning things is also the key to not being owned by things.

In our new film promoting both the XC40 and the subscription offer Care By Volvo, we explore the idea that in a society of abundance, the things you own can end up owning you.And that by not owning things, you are not owned by things.
