Born to a legendary Bollywood Director Mr. Basu Chatterjee, Rupali has a creative spark for storytelling already in her genes. Armed with a management degree, her creative calling came to foray into satellite television space with innovative content and ideas that well defined her personality. Rupali is Pintoo’s wife & spearheads FILM FARM’s Television Section. Her television career began with CHAUSATT PANNE for ZEE TV. Apart from shows such as KASHI (NDTV IMAGINE), TUMHARI DISHA & DIL SE DIYA VACHAN (ZEE TV), SIRF STORIES (SAB TV).
She has been single handed responsible for the creation of more than 1200 episodes of the popular show, ‘UTTARAN’ for COLORS GEC. Rupali made her directorial debut with the Hindi film ‘AAMRAS’, a coming-of-age film about four 18 year old girls. The film was produced by Alliance Media & Entertainment Pvt.Ltd. Rupali has just completed her first Bengali feature film with Prosenjit Chatterjee. The film is produced by Moxie Entertainment. Currently, Rupali is already busy with pre- production planning on her new assignments in pipeline including spearheading team of creative writers on their respective assignments.
