Åsa Riton has stayed true to her ethic of merging art and film, having shot for Danish fashion icon Henrik Vibskov, electro pioneers The Knife and Trentemøller, as well as visionary creative David Lynch. Her strong visual concepts, combined with playful musicality set Åsa aside as a visually engaging and exciting director.
Coming from a strong artistic background, Åsa holds degrees from both Central Saint Martins and The Danish Film School. Her work has been shown at the Gothenburg International Film Festival, Nike Showrooms, Kulturhuset Stockholm, Avant Garde Diaries, Playstation Portable Gallery, Diesel New Art, and The London Institute of Contemporary Arts. Åsa has also directed work for Nike, Mercedes Benz, Philips, Arla, Microsoft, Warner Music, Sony to name a few.
Åsa is currently working on a new cross-disciplinary collaboration with Swedish artist Andreas Emenius – RITON & EMENIUS. The project sees the release of three music videos, tour videos, and art installations for Danish electronic music pioneer Trentemøller. The result will be a total media experience that touches on physical locations, online platforms, and video installations.’
