Philosophie "Old Town Road" became an instant viral phenomenon and gained Lil Nas X worldwide attention. He found the beat on YouTube and released the song independently.
Before he knew it, the song started charting Billboard's country chart, which led to a controversy among country listeners. The song was eventually taken off the country charts.

However, Billy Ray Cyrus quickly became attached to the remixed version in order to give Lil Nas X needed credibility among country listeners.

This video celebrates this new fusion of hip hop and country, with a smidgen of comedy added.
