Known better as "Ox," Carlos Fernandez Oxte has been a prominent figure in the advertising industry for over 23 years. His remarkable journey began with roles at two of Mexico's premier network agencies: Ogilvy and BBDO. Throughout his tenure, Carlos contributed his expertise to some of the largest accounts in the country, including Mattel, Gillette, Mars Petcare, Bayer, Volvo, Jaguar, Bud Light, PepsiCo, Kraft Foods, Coca-Cola, Lay's, Aspirin, Alka Seltzer, Huawei, Gandhi Bookstores, and Devlyn Optics, among others.

Carlos embarked on his advertising career in October 1999 at Ogilvy & Mather, working under the creative guidance of Marco Colín. His involvement extended to an array of prominent brands, such as KFC, Mattel, Terra, Kraft, Jaguar, Land Rover, Librerías Gandhi, Pond’s, and Maxcom. Over the course of eight and a half years, he ascended within the organization, ultimately attaining the position of Creative Director. In this capacity, he spearheaded campaigns for brands like Cablevisión, Pizza Hut, Sprite, Fanta, Pfizer, and others. His creative endeavors garnered recognition at numerous international festivals, yet the Cannes Lion remained an aspiration. This quest led him to BBDO Mexico in 2008, where he collaborated with Héctor Fernández.

During his tenure at BBDO, Carlos contributed his creative prowess to brands such as Pepsi, Sabritas, Chrysler, Dodge, Scribe, Gillette, Ópticas Devlyn, Whiskas, Pedigree, Doritos, Mercedes Benz, HP, Bacardi, and more. It was under the creative guidance of Luis Ribó and alongside an exceptional team that Carlos's endeavor for a Cannes Lion was realized, marking a pivotal moment for Pedigree in June 2014. With his leadership, the agency secured the Huawei account for Mexico and the region in 2015.

After nearly a decade at BBDO, Carlos embarked on a new journey, joining the independent agency Archer Troy as Chief Creative Officer. In this role, he contributed to the agency's rapid rise to the top 10 in Creative rankings in Mexico, and a prominent position in the top 10 for effectiveness at the Effie Awards, within just a year's time. Throughout his illustrious career, Carlos has amassed over 70 awards of various hues and flavors, both on a local and international scale. Yet, beyond the accolades, his journey has been enriched by the invaluable connections he's fostered with talented individuals across the industry.
