Lucy Shymko (Mona Dorn)

At the age of 13, I graduated from the Art School the departments of painting and piano. Since I was 18 I have been working in the field of design with real projects. I worked both in a team, and as a freelancer.

I won a 2d prize in social advertising “Molodiya Festival”/2016, 2nd prize in Odessa Light festival / 2015, I was a finalist in DEV Challenge10/2016 in concept design nomination.
I worked at the Rainbow Creative design studio from May to September 2016. Were created advertising materials all digital types. Also worked with publishing house “Music Ukraine”, Kyiv soloist’s music ensemble, Odessa International Violin Competition, violinist Valeriy Sokolov, worked with SKILZ animation studio as storyboard artist and animation director.

I study languages and want to get a second education in the field of art. In my work, I focus on the idea and the sense of it. The element of content in my works is more important to me than just a beautiful picture.

I am inspired by conceptualism, minimalism, music, Simon’s Stalenhag works, Werner’s Jeker and David’s Carson design.
