| Story | Have you ever thought about what plants do for us? Probably not really, right? The 'Thanks plants' campaign is a lighthearted ode to everything plants do for us.Hero of the campaign is a charming and plant-crammed 80-second film that brings a vocal and visual tribute to plants and all the positive effects they have on people's health and wellbeing. Driven by a song -which was translated to 4 languages- and a continuous pullback shot, the film takes viewers on a journey along all kinds of everyday situations in which plants play an important supporting role that’s standing in the corner.All thirteen scenes were shot during an ambitious 2-day shoot. We used a hydroscope crane to create the perfect motion and a range of lenses in order to get close up and hard to reach shots such as the inside of the mouth transition and the fridge scenes. We created a slightly abstract reality together with the Plant stylist, Art and Light department to set the mood and help us make the transitions seamless. This gave us the ability to make each scene feel unique even though we only had two sets.The song was our guideline for the speed of the hydroscope and that together with the change of the light, movement of the plants, acting of the model and the transitions, made it quite a technical shoot. The outcome is a beautiful film with a striking visual world that keeps you fixated and interested throughout. And even though the shoot was technical, with plants as the product of the film, it begins to look like an art project rather than ad. |
