Matt Richmond (heyretriever.com)

Matt began his professional life in journalism, and the craft shapes his work to this day. Over the years he has worked not only as a reporter, but also as a janitor, a publisher and editor, a bartender, an ad guy, a landscaper, a TV writer and producer, and the guy who cleans out the grease pit at Long John Silver's. This deep well of personal and professional experience informs his approach as a storyteller.

Matt resides in Chicago. His work for clients such as Caterpillar, Amazon and Purina appears all over the world. He has served as writer and producer on shows for CBS, Fox, Food Network, HLN, TruTV and YouTube. His first feature documentary as director, “Gemütlichkeit,” premiered in April 2020.
