Story Entry Summary;Multiple Myeloma is a blood cancer that is not well known. There's a strong need to support the research and foster donations in order to improve the life of those who suffer from Multiple Myeloma. The real problem is that 62% of people don’t donate until they are directly involved.;Brief Explanation;Through virtual reality, we made people understand firsthand what a Myeloma patients feel.;In collaboration with a leading Italian artist, Fabio Giampietro, we created “Meyeloma” the first oculus experience that makes you sick. Through a VR Oculus visitors can get into the painting created by the artist. The experience was so real that not only it caused visitors the same symptoms of a Multiple Myeloma patient but it also encouraged them to donate and support the research on blood cancers.
