Slogan Last year, 750.000 entrepreneurs experienced hardship in business. Yet many of them didn’t speak up or seek help. Entrepreneurs prefer not to talk about financial problems. As a result, they seek help too late and their problems become even bigger.
Story KVK (The Dutch Chamber of Commerce) is faced with a perception problem. Entrepreneurs still see KVK as an old-fashioned registration office for businesses, instead of a service provider for all entrepreneurs in the Netherlands. How can KVK play a significant role in supporting business owners facing financial trouble, really helping those entrepreneurs that need our help most?

Entrepreneurs prefer not to talk about financial problems. As a result, they seek help too late and their problems become even bigger. To break this cycle and let entrepreneurs know they are not alone, we developed the KVK Comeback line: a helpline where entrepreneurs can seek advice and support anonymously 24/7. In mini-documentaries, well-known entrepreneurs talk openly about their financial problems and solutions. Using PR and social media channels only, we manage to make headlines in all national media. Our well-known entrepreneurs acted as spokespersons in all leading media, thanks to a detailed and personal PR approach. KVK is flooded with reactions, with only 223 calls in the first night, and the count is still growing.
