Epica has announced the support of the City of Amsterdam for the Epica Awards ceremony and Creative Circles conference, which will both take place on November 21.
Ellen Oetelmans, Programme Manager at Amsterdam Impact, commented: “Amsterdam Impact, the City of Amsterdam’s impact entrepreneurship programme, is a proud partner of the Creative Circles conference and this year’s Epica Awards. At Amsterdam Impact we strengthen the ecosystem for impact companies, from start-ups to large corporations, that solve societal challenges through entrepreneurship and thus create both financial and societal value.
“The creative sector helps brands to develop and share their stories. Through a focus on purpose driven storytelling, creatives can stimulate their clients to walk their talk, embed positive impact into their core business strategy and ultimately become impact companies. We team up with Epica to stimulate and strengthen this development.”
Amsterdam Impact focuses on a broad variety of projects and actions, she explained.
“For instance we took the initiative for The Impact Days, an awareness campaign on social entrepreneurship that takes place from November 21 to 23. All around the country there are events, special bike tours, offers, workshops and behind the scenes from social enterprises, governments, corporates and universities to raise awareness about social entrepreneurship. On top of that we promote to buy social! This is important because social entrepreneurs are doing things differently. They are working towards a more sustainable and fair society: from addressing loneliness to tackling climate change. And the more social enterprises grow, the more impact they have on these challenges. I invite you to discover these new products and services, and learn how to contribute to the world of tomorrow!”
Epica’s Creative Circles conference, with the theme “Building Brands In A Challenging World”, will take place on Thursday, November 21 from 10am to 5.45pm at the Royal Tropical Institute (KIT) in Amsterdam. It will be followed at 7pm by the Epica Awards ceremony and party at the same venue.
