The British Are Coming: Knucklehead Opens First US Office Headed up by Executive Producer Cathleen Kisich

Buckle up for a British invasion, as award-winning UK-based production company Knucklehead officially opens the doors to its first US office this month. The expansion services a rising demand from the industry, with the Knucklehead gang delivering a one-two punch of major advertising projects both overseas and stateside as of late.  The LA-based office will be headed up by industry mainstay Cathleen Kisich, who comes on board as Knucklehead’s first US Executive Producer.

Established in 2005 by EP/Managing Partners Tim Katz and Matthew Brown, Knucklehead has quickly built a sterling reputation with its high standard of creative execution and faultless production. Since launching, the company has emerged as a serious force to be reckoned with, producing a body of trendsetting international work that has taken a roster of “ones-to-watch” to bona fide superstars. In response, Knucklehead amped up production on this side of the pond, and has already been working with top US agencies including Wieden + Kennedy, Droga 5, TBWA/Chiat/Day, McCann, Leo Burnett and Team Detroit, to name a few.

Recent work from Knucklehead’s mighty handpicked lineup includes Siri Bunford’s extraordinary documentary-style film “1000 Years of Less Ordinary Wisdom” for Finlandia Vodka; Charlie Crane’s short film about the life of an expedition doctor in Greenland for IKEA’s “There’s No Bed Like Home” campaign; and emerging director Chris Hewitt’s new emotion-driven advert for Dunlop.

Other sizzlers include Rob Leggatt’s Sliding Doors-style pair of campaign films for VO5; William Armstrong’s nighttime “Run More” spot for Adidas; and choreographer-turned-director Holly Blakey’s monochromatic dance performance video for Gwilym Gold’s “Triumph.”

Katz and Brown have tapped Cathleen Kisich to lead the charge on importing the Knucklehead seal of quality with the US flagship.  Kisich began her seasoned career as an agency producer before making the jump to Executive Producer in 2010 when she joined the table at Caviar, representing some of the biggest names in the industry including AG Rojas and Keith Schofield.

Kisich also brings along Producer Lauren Small to the new Knucklehead US.  Small previously worked at Partizan, and at Caviar, where she and Kisich met.
