Philosophie The Target 2-Day Sale is not for wimps. It’s for the passionate, dedicated, even the benignly ruthless. It’s for the moms and dads out there who want the very best quality at the very best price. It’s for people who— though they smile— aren’t kidding around. The 2010 Target 2-Day campaign again uses comedian Maria Bamford to emphasize the excitement and passion for the sale. Director Wayne McClammy guides Maria through a series of frenzied preparations for the big day. She appears in TV spots and various digital media, including web films, banner ads, and online circulars. Maria’s obsessively perfect character goes all out to be ready and first in line. Failure is not an option. The campaign launched November 17 with three TV spots — “Montage,” “Preparing,” and “Elliptical” — and various digital media executions. The campaign will continue to roll out new creative through November 27, two days after the Thanksgiving holiday.
