For nearly 20 years, LCD Soundsystem frontman James Murphy has dreamed of changing the harsh beeps of New York’s subway turnstiles into musical notes. Unfortunately, despite his best efforts, his idea has yet to get off the ground. But with the help of Heineken we are trying to make it happen.
As part of our mission Heineken is creating the first live, brand-driven documentary that charts in real time, our journey to turn Subway Symphony from a pipe dream into reality. By the end of summer, we are hoping to have new turnstile notes installed in our first station!
