Why did you think it was important to join the PHNX jury?
To gain insight into how the judging process happens and for exposure to the way entries are put forward.
What impact do you think the event might have on the industry?
It fills the void left by Cannes not running this year and while I agree that it may not be the right time to party, we could use a little celebration.
What do you think of the hybrid jury, which includes strategists and journalists alongside creatives?
Always good to get multiple perspectives because ads are never only seen by one group of people.
What will you be looking for when you start judging the entries?
I'm looking forward to see the way the context is created in entries, particularly in work I've already been exposed to.
What lasting impact might the current crisis have on creative work?
There's always room for creativity. I think the immediate impact is financial. With less budgets around, creativity becomes all the more important. In the longer run, I still believe creativity will always be needed to help the world deal with whatever comes our way.
