RAPP announces the launch of the Series R Health Equity Marketing Accelerator to early-stage FemTech startups raising the bar for women’s health

This International Women’s Day, RAPP — the global creative and marketing transformation agency all about the individual — launched RAPP Series R, an accelerator program for early-stage FemTech startups on a mission to improve the health and well-being of women+. Today, RAPP is inviting FemTech startups across the country to apply to this program for the chance to be selected as RAPP’s pro bono client.

What is RAPP Series R? While many startups successfully raise capital to support their business’ operational needs, they often lack access to advanced marketing services to help them effectively launch and sell their products in-market. RAPP Series R is an accelerator program that gives early-stage digital health startups access to best-in-class marketing services — the same services RAPP offers to their Fortune 500 clients.

Why FemTech? Health inequities affect the daily lives of millions of women around the world every single day, yet funding from the male-dominant investment community has been difficult to obtain. Currently, the FemTech industry only received about 5% of available funding, despite women spending significantly more on their healthcare needs.Nevertheless, the rise of technology and startup culture is enabling FemTech to emerge as one of the most diverse and rapidly growing sectors—estimated at $75 billion globally by 2025. FemTech’s purpose is to democratize health for women+ in the United States and around the world by tackling underserved health needs, improving outcomes, and providing accessible new solutions.

Who is eligible? Applicants’ founding team must be woman-identifying, whether cis-or-transgender, or non-binary, who address a public health disparity for women or other underserved groups in healthcare, are U.S. owned and operated and offer a product with an in-market solution, revenue and customer base. We will also consider companies with founders who are part of an underrepresented racial or ethnic group.

What are the program benefits? Following the application and selection period (March-May), one winning startup will become RAPP’s pro bono client for the summer months. RAPP will engage the founding team in a series of marketing strategy and design sprints to drive awareness of the startup and attract new customers. In addition, RAPP will support the winner with mentorship and networking opportunities, including access to a fractional CMO from the FemTech industry, who will coach the founding team throughout the pro bono engagement.
