Story The Background


Chitwan is one of the prime attractions of Nepal. The forests of Chitwan are home to the pride of Nepal – the one horned rhino, and other exotic wildlife. Therefore, Chitwan safari tours are popular amongst wildlife and nature enthusiasts from across the globe. And are also a revenue earner for Nepalese people.





The Problem


These forests are being cut down, as these trees are used as a source for making paper. This paper is also being used in making newspapers. Thus, resulting in the destruction of wildlife.





The Task


To make people aware of the destruction that’s happening and its ill-effects. This awareness had to be done in a relevant, ‘non-preachy’ yet interesting manner.





The Idea


Newspapers are still one of the most popular medium consumed in Nepal. So, we decided to create a newspaper ad for Chitwan Jungle Safari Tours. But with a twist. The medium chosen wasn’t newspapers, but radio. As we did not want to use a medium that is associated with the core problem- destruction of trees.

The Execution


We created a radio commercial script, and incorporated the newspaper ad “layout” as a description in the voice over. We seamlessly integrated radio and print medium in one single ad.
